One of the main problems I used to have with c-bets was that I used them every single time I raised before the flop. It was just what I believed - what kind of whimp would make a raise before the flop and then check? It just didn't seem right to make a preflop raise without a continuation bet.

Remember that it is much easier to make an all-in bet than to call one. All you need to do to win the hand is bet when you're sure your opponent will fold.

When you come across these sort of players, the correct way to play is to value bet your strong hands as much as possible. Sometimes using bluffs can be a boost to your poker betting strategy for Texas Hold'Em. It is important to remember that bluffs will work best when they are unexpected, if you bluff too often no one will fall for your tricks. On the flip side, if you never use bluffs and bet on a good hand, other players are more likely to pick up on the hand and fold rather than bet against you.

Often the answers to these questions will give you a better indication of whether or not you should call or not. It's better to just focus on winning money from worse/bad players than taking on better/more advanced players.

This is probably the most important but I had to put it second. Pretty much just like betting without this you don't even have a game. They go hand in hand to formulating your Texas Poker strategy they should practically go together.

We touched on the idea of playing your hands aggressively in the previous point, but it's so important that it deserves a heading of its own: if you have a decent hand, then bet out on it. Playing against fish requires you to be patient, so it may well be that you've folded a lot of hands before you get dealt something decent. When that happens, make sure that they pay off.
